Insurance & Billing

At Russell Medical, we're committed to making the billing and insurance process as clear and easy to navigate as possible—so you can focus on your health.

Before You Arrive

If you have hospitalization insurance, we'll work with your insurance company to file claims and accept payment. However, please remember, you're ultimately responsible for your bill, including any costs not covered by insurance such as deductibles, co-pays, and co-insurance. These are typically due prior to or at the time of service.

If you have limited or no insurance, a deposit may be required. To discuss deposit requirements or payment options, contact our Patient Accounts Department at 256-215-7463.

Cost Estimates & Financial Planning

Want to know what to expect before your visit? We encourage all patients to check with their insurance provider about coverage and out-of-pocket costs in advance.

If you're uninsured or need help understanding your expected charges, call 256-329-7136 to speak with a Patient Account Representative. We can provide:

  • Cost estimates

  • Payment plan options

  • Financial assistance information

You may qualify for discounted care based on income and household size. Learn more by reviewing our Financial Assistance Policy or by contacting us directly.

Know Your Rights: No Surprise Billing

You're protected by the No Surprises Act. If you receive emergency care or are treated by an out-of-network provider at our facility, you won't be billed more than your in- network cost-sharing amount (like copays or deductibles). Learn more about your rights under this federal protection here.
