Job Summary
Performs age specific diagnostic radiographic procedures utilizing the necessary judgement, ingenuity and initiative to apply ionizing radiation in order to obtain diagnostic radiographs.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology or actively enrolled in an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
Experience
No experience required
Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registrations
BLS certification within 90 days of hire is required
Equipment, Tools, Work Aids
Diagnostic Radiographic and Fluoroscopic equipment, Portable X-ray Machine, Portable C-Arm, PACS, all related Radiology equipment and computers.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge of radiographic examinations (age specific) as well as procedures which require the use of contrast agents. Knowledge of radiographic equipment operation. Knowledge of Radiation Safety. Knowledge of patient transportation methods. Good communication skills. Good customer service skills. Good ethical and professional conduct.
